Classes for 2012:Beginning Yoga. New! Beginner Class 10 to 11:15 a.m. Saturday mornings STARTING JANUARY 7, 2012 Canyon Creek Presbyterian Church, 3901 North Star Road in east Richardson, Room M117. Enter through the porte cochere labeled North Star Learning Center. Walk straight ahead to the end of the corridor. Turn left. Find the elevator at the end of the hallway before you reach the gym. Take the elevator to Level 2. As you exit the elevator, turn left. Classroom will be on your left halfway down the hall. Click here for map. This new class will be a pay-what-you-can format. First-timers are always free! Suggested fees: $8 per class, $5 for students and seniors age 65 and above. No reservations required. Bring a mat and wear comfortable clothing. Every class includes a brief lesson about the spiritual dimensions of authentic yoga , followed by 60 minutes of movement. 15% of fees go toward supporting mission programs of Canyon Creek Presbyterian Church. Studio classes: Seniorcize. Wednesday mornings, 8 to 9 a.m. Spots still available! For people 55 and up, or with those with mobility and balance issues. This class combines aerobics with strength, balance, and flexibility training to keep you in the game. I have a certification in senior fitness, and love to teach this age group because I are one. You'll need a doctor's permission slip if you are over 65 or have a previous history of heart problems. Class limit: 6.
